Mr Rayner had been the Operations Director for ACL for the last five years and will leave on April 12th to oversee the development of a new 30,000 capacity stadium for Leicester Tigers on the existing Welford Road site which has just received planning permission.
Said Mr Rayner: "I am really excited about the new challenge but I am also at the same time sad to be leaving such a magnificent development here at the Ricoh.
"I have made many friends in Coventry & Warwickshire and the Ricoh Arena is still the benchmark for all new stadia and you all must be very proud.
"The timing of my appointment is purely coincidental with the announcement of the new ACL/CCFC staff structure which I fully support as this makes the Ricoh Arena venue very strong by merging resources and skills.
"I am currently heading up the "Transitional Team" at the Ricoh to enable the "coming together" and the relocation to the new joint offices as seamless as possible."
