Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that Reice Charles-Cook deserved his opportunity to make his debut.
Charles-Cook made some great saves for City in the League Cup tie at Rochdale on Tuesday night and Tony Mowbray told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “Reice did very well and deserved his debut because he’s been fantastic in pre-season.
“He showed brilliant awareness and sharpness, his distribution was good and I was really pleased with him.
“Somewhere along the line he’s going to have to play. If Lee either loses form or gets injured it would be tempting to throw in a loan keeper, yet Reice deserves his opportunity.”
