Former three Coventry City players were in action on Tuesday night at Broadhall Way for the League One fixture between Stevenage FC and Sheffield Wednesday.
Former City youngster Craig Reid gave Stevenage a fifth minute lead when he was first to a loose ball to score his fourth goal in five matches.
This sent Stevenage on their way and Reid who had a fine game in the 76 minutes he was on the pitch was involved in two of the three goals that saw Stevenage 4-0 up after 36 minutes and some Owls fans heading for the exits.
Stevenage added a fifth through Darius Charles before former City loanee Gary Madine rounded the keeper for a consolation goal in the 73rd minute much to the delight of the Owls fans still in the ground including the well received Tango who had been asking the home fans if Stevenage could score a goal for them.
Four minutes from time, former Coventry City striker Clinton Morrison, who had spent much of the game chasing shadows, was called into action to escort Jermaine Johnson off the field of play after completely losing the plot followingt being shown a red card in a match which Stevenage won 5-1
