Kyel Reid is back at Coventry City but not wanted.
The winger thought he had a get out clause in his contract if City were relegated from League One and tried to exercise it, only to be told by City Boss Mark Robins that there was nothing in writing.
Reid was on the field, during the 1-0 pre-season win at Sutton United and did his best to avoid being involved in the match before he was replaced at half-time and subsequently loaned out to Colchester United.
That loan has now expired and Reid has returned to the Sky Blues with a three game ban after being red carded in the U's 4-1 home defeat to Cheltenham Town on Saturday.
Colchester have said nothing about extending the loan and Reid's future now hangs in the balance, unless he can get a move to a club that is acceptable to the Sky Blues who still have hold of his contract.
