Kyel Reid is back enjoying his football
The winger is back in the City fold and is now regularly getting game time for the Sky Blues since his loan at Colchester United ended in January.
Speaking about his fall out which saw him loaned out, Reid told Andy Turner of the Coventry Telegraph: “I never said I don’t want to be here or don’t want to play for him. He’s a great manager and from when he came in at the back end of last season you could see that with the Trophy final against Oxford.
There were options for me to go back out on loan but when I weighed up my options it was just a no brainer for me coming back here.
“With the injuries that Coventry had it just made sense for me to go back, sit down and have a chat with the gaffer about my future and what his plans were.
“And to be fair he has been brilliant with me. He has helped me with some footballing stuff as well as some stuff off the pitch with my family.
“So he has been great with me to be honest and so I want to repay his faith and when I do get on the pitch, show him that I want to be here and I do want to play for the club and do my bit with the boys.
“Hopefully I bring a bit of quality and experience. I have played in this division before with Bradford and got promoted via a play-off final so with my experience and anything I can do to help, on and off the pitch, I am always there.
“And as I said, since I have been back he’s been brilliant for me.”
