Peter Reid had this to say after the defeat against Sheffield United. He told the club's website: "It was always going to be a difficult one for us and I think when you’re on top you’ve got to capitalise and we didn’t.
"The turning points were the penalty miss and the one that hit the post and then we gave two bad goals away.
"We didn’t really get going in the second half – they’re a difficult team to play against but we never really played and the spark went out of the game."
"It was difficult when they went two up because they’re on a good run and are a very hard team to beat but from our point-of-view we just can’t get a run going.
"I don’t think we passed it well enough and sometimes we tried to rush it. There were times I can remember we tried to force it but they shut us down well and we didn’t pass it as well as we could. If there’s not a ball on to kill teams you’ve got to keep hold of it and we didn’t.
"The thing that concerned me the most was the goals we gave away. "For their first we just didn’t get a set piece clear and then the second was disappointing as well.
"Stern didn’t get hold of the ball up front but a few of our players had tried to react and go past him. Then they had an overlap on, one of their boys picked out the right player and he finished.
"I’ll be making changes for the Gillingham game. The games come that quick you’ve got to utilise the squad because it’s very physically demanding. "
