Peter Reid has reiterated his determination to stay as Coventry City manager until such time he is relieved off his duties.

The under fire boss who had calls for his head at all four of the games over the Christmas and New Year period told the CET:"I have not considered my position at all over the last few days.

"I am just disappointed, as I know the fans are, that we have not got the results we had hoped for this season.

"I can't have a go at my players because they have given me everything but against Leeds, again, we were bossed physically more than anything.

"So at the moment it is clear that they are not strong enough so I am actively looking to bring some strength in.

"I have been on the phone to three managers today to try to bring new loan players in but the requests have been turned down, so it is difficult."

"I fully understand the fans' reaction and managers get that. It has happened to me before and it is borne out of frustration.

"A pal of mine (Bryan Robson) got it after just a couple of games in charge at West Brom. Fans are entitled to their opinion and you just have to get on with it and keep trying to improve the team and results."
