Peter Reid will wait until Friday to see if Stern John is fit to play against Leicester City on Saturday. John appeared for Trinidad & Tobago in their 3-0 defeat against Mexico last night.
Hitting back at last weeks FIFA claims, the City boss said "If Stern’s fit enough to play, he plays because I have never ever said to any player don’t go away on international duty. And I wouldn’t say it.
"I think it’s an honour for the player and I think it’s an honour for the football club. I was an international and I loved going away. So hopefully when he comes back he’s right and if he is, he plays."
Reid To Make John Decision
Meanwhile Graham Barrett and Claus Jorgensen both sat out the Republic of Ireland's 2-0 win over the Faroe Islands in Dublin. Former Sky Blue Robbie Keane got both goals.
