It’s that time of the year when the Coventry City Former Player Association invites all our current Associate Members to renew for the coming year 2016-17. Without the continued support of all our Associate members our dedicated group of volunteers could not continue do the professional job you have come to expect. In the next few days CCFPA Membership Secretary Sarah-Jane Morriswill also be contacting all our AMs directly to remind them of this and ask them to renew!
At our July committee meeting last Saturday at our first ‘away day’ of the season at the Sky Blues pre-season friendly game at Nuneaton not only did we decide to keep our annual AM subscription at last year’s price i.e. £15 but that we would set our ‘early bird‘ deadline at the end of this month. If we receive your renewal payment by close of play on Sunday 31st July 2016 you can renew for just £10. From August the membership fee will revert to £15. We, of course, are very happy to receive applications from new Associate Members at the same time to join around 70 colleagues and the more than 225 former players of CCFC that form our full membership.
For this you will receive our next three editions of ‘Legend‘ our eight page full colour newsletter posted free to your home to keep you up to date with everything that your very active Association is doing in the coming season. There are also discounts possible including on the purchase of our popular Association tie, commemorative medals, CDs and the like as well as the opportunity for enhanced access (where possible) to meet our full members when our Sky Blue Former Players attend Association functions like Legends Day 2017 (8th April 2017) and Golf Day 2017 (June 8th 2017). During this upcoming season we hope to mark two important anniversaries for the club, the 50th Anniversary of the Club finally reaching Division One in 1966-67 and, of course, the 30th Anniversary of our famous one and only F.A.Cup victory in 1986-87.
For new recruits (who also receive an Association lapel badge to mark their membership) an application form can be downloaded from this site (click below ‘Join Us’ on the top right of this page) or on the link below. Alternatively, Sarah will be happy to post a form to you. In all cases payment can be made by cheque (made out to ‘CCFPA’ to Sarah Morris or electronically to Account No. 00742803. Sort Code 30-96-20. If you pay electronically please email our chairman Jim Brown (clarriebourton@gmail.com) to confirm the source of your payment and copy to Sarah (sarah.janemorris@btinternet.com) who will confirm your renewal is complete.
