"It was a good result against Doncaster on Saturday and it is nice to finish on a positive note going into a two-week break," said Coleman to the CT.
"We didn't want to be going into the two weeks with another defeat, and this result breaks the sequence of thee league defeats on the bounce.
"We looked a bit tired as well in the second half compared to what we have looked like, and I think that is mentally as well because of all the stuff with the FA Cup.
"We had lost three games on the bounce prior to Saturday and you can almost start feeling sorry for yourself.
"So in terms of energy levels and quality we have seen better performances, but to be fair to the players they stuck at it and never gave in, and they have earned themselves a good three points and a good rest."
City's next match is against Reading at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday April 7th. Tickets are on general sale. They then travel to Crystal Palace on Tuesday April 7th before making the 220 mile trek to Plymouth on Easter Saturday before taking on Charlton Athletic at home two days later.
