Former Chairman Bryan Richardson has hinted that he might be interested in buying back into the Sky Blues. The former Warwickshire cricketer was deposed as Chairman in January 2002 after allowing the club to run up debts of close to £60m.
Richardson Hints At Return
Speaking in Southern Spain whilst playing golf with Eddy Jordan, Richardson is rumoured to have claimed that he still sees the current City Chairman whom he brought to the club on a social basis and that he would be interested in investing in the Sky Blues if they were relegated.
Said one supporter to Covsupport on hearing the story: "There is no way Richardson will be welcome back at this club. "Supporters fought long and hard to remove him from office and I'm sure they will fight just as hard to ensure that he never comes near our club again. "If he will only come back if we are relegated, then the board and Micky Adams must do everything in their power to make sure we are not."
