Former Coventry City Chairman Bryan Richardson has said that he wants to help SISU restore the fortunes of the Sky Blues.
Speaking to the CT's Andy Turner, the much despised Chairman who was in charge when City managed to knock up debts of £59m and around when the land was purchased for the Ricoh Arena, said: “It’s dreadfully sad.
“I think it is destroying for the fans. There are about 12,000 who are locked in, die-hard supporters and I can’t believe they have been so badly treated.
"There has been such incredibly bad management over the last few years from people who should know better, and I think it is absolutely awful that what has happened has been allowed to happen.
“I am really frustrated and a lot of people have rung me over the last few weeks and said ‘why don’t you come and have another go at it’ and I thought ‘don’t start that.’
"But it is really sad that all those supporters – who are great supporters – suddenly find that they haven’t got anything.
“I don’t know who Sisu are but it goes back further than that when the whole club was, in a funny sort of way, disenfranchised. People came in who had no feeling for it rather than work at it day in and day out which was necessary.
“I’ve been quite busy for ten years but I’m starting a new business back in football. It involves some quite big corporate names and it is about scouting players, managing clubs and reviewing the finances of clubs and so on, so it’s going to be quite an interesting business.
“Funnily enough I said to my partners yesterday and we have a board meeting tomorrow – I honestly believe that if we went to talk to whoever is Sisu, I think we may be able to help them."
