Coventry City manager Mark Robins said that seven clean sheet was out standing as his side took a 1-0 home win over Crewe Alexandra.
Speaking about City third win in a week, their first since 2001, Robins told the Press Association: "Seven clean sheets is outstanding at this stage of the season.
"We are looking strong at the back, the defence have done fantastically well.
"It's important to be dogged and the defence are proud of their record and want to keep the ball out of the net.
"We could do with taking the pressure off a bit by taking our chances. It's a decent start to our season. We are on course.
"It is tough having three games in a week and we were off the pace that we have set a little.
"We created a number of chances and could have won by a bigger score
"We kept a clean sheet and had a lot of the ball, but I'm delighted with the three points and the clean sheet.
"The goalkeeper has made three or four really good saves. We are creating chances and had we taken one it would have been a larger win."
Dave Artell, the Crewe boss was cursing his side's luck and told the Press Association: "The corner flag gave them an assist and that is the nature of things for us," he said.
"We could have possibly reacted better in the middle of the pitch but you can't legislate for that
"We have not got that bit of luck at the moment. Did we create enough? Probably not.
"We huffed and puffed, but we have got to be better. We have got to be more cohesive going forward and be a bit quicker.
"There is work to be done. The bottom line is we have come undone against a good team by some bad luck.
"Defensively I thought we were solid without being excellent, but going forward we can improve and we have got to improve.
"We did not look after the ball well enough or make the right decisions in the final third."
