Coventry City manager Mark Robins feels that the Cyrille Regis Memorial Trophy game at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday will be a good game for the Sky Blues.
City go into the game which kicks off at 3pm at The Hawthorns on Saturday having lost away to Sutton and Stevenage, beaten young Everton and Aston Villa teams and losing to Derby County last night at Nuneaton.
Speaking about the game which Cyrille's widow Julia hopes will become a cup with non-league sides involved, Mark Robins told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “It’s another good game for us.
“The weather will be hot again and I am sure the supporters will turn out for us and then there’s only a week to go then.
“It’s a really good game to look forward to and sign off the pre-season with, so it’s another step towards the opening game.
“Cyrille was held in such high regard by both sets of supporters and both clubs and it will be an emotional game, something that could be the start of something that lives on for a long, long time.”
Mark Robins is hoping to have both Tom Bayliss and Dujon Sterling who have been away in Finland with England U19's plus possibly Jordan Willis and Abu Ogogo available for some of the game.
