Coventry City manager Mark Robins has said there is a lot of work to do.
"There’s still a lot of work and a lot of learning to be done. We’ve got to continue in the same vain, it’s good to watch, it’s just frustrating we’re not turning those chances into goals," said the City boss at this morning's press conference.
"There are a lot of good signs but we need to stick to our philosophy.
"I'm not gong to flip-flop. I believe in what we are doing."
The City boss had praise for Conor Chaplin who scored a stunning free kick in the 2-1 defeat at Plymouth Argyle last Saturday and said: "Conor is a really good player and this is his first season as a regular and he’s only 21 years of age and he’s doing well."
One player in for next season is Michael Rose, who will join City on a two year deal on July 1st after his Ayr United contract expires and speaking about the 23 year old defender, Robins said: "Michael Rose is a very good player, he has a lot of promise and he’s good on the ball and has a lot of potential. There was a lot of interest in him from Premier League and Championship clubs, so I’m happy to get it over the line."
Tomorrow, the Sky Blues who are down to tenth in the League One table take on ninth placed Blackpool at the Ricoh Arena and the City boss is expecting a tough game, saying: "I think Blackpool was the turning point earlier in the season. Since then we’ve had some good performances and we’re playing good football.
"Blackpool are a good team that work hard and they will give us a tough game. They don’t concede many goals and they defend as a unit."
