Coventry City manager Mark Robins said it was all about getting through with no injuries as the Sky Blues started their 2018 pre-season campaign with a 2-0 defeat at Sutton United thanks to an own goal and a second half Craig Dundas goal.
Robins, who is hoping to have the services of a new striker on Monday, told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “It is all about getting through with no injuries.
“We have only been training for five days but now they have got 45 minutes under their belts we can get on with it.
“At the end of five days it’s a touch ask, so I am pleased that we have come through without any injuries.
“We had nine players back at base training, so had a lot of young players out there. One or two were playing for the first time and just getting to know each other’s games. It’s early days.
“I am pleased in terms of how we came through unscathed with no injuries because I was worried about the game, in all fairness, because it was too soon.”
