Coventry City Manager Mark Robins is being reported as hopeful that George Thomas will sign for the Sky Blues.
Thomas is a free agent after his contract expired and although there has been interest in the Wales U20 international, the City boss is hoping that Thomas will agree to the offer made to him by City and sign for the Sky Blues.
“He’s keeping his options open as he’s entitled to do that,” said Mark Robins to the media.
“I have had conversations with him and it’s still 50/50. I’m still hopeful it will pan out our way.
“He needs to make sure that whatever decision he makes, and he hasn’t made one yet, is the right one for his career moving forward.
“He knows what we offer him and it all depends on what happens with any club coming in and whether it tickles his fancy or not. Obviously time is running out a little bit and he will commit at some point, whichever way he decides to go.”
Amongst the City Old Boys on target today were:
Freddie Sears who scored twice for Ipswich, Leon Clarke for Sheffield United, Leon Barnett for Northampton, Shaun Miller for Carlisle, Richard Duffy for Notts County and Courtney Baker-Richardson for Leamington.
