Coventry City manager Mark Robins felt his side did really well despite losing 3-1 away to Brighton & Hove Albion in an FA Cup Fifth Round tie.
The Sky Blues had beaten Maidenhead United, Boreham Wood, Stoke City and MK Dons to set up a tie at the Amex Stadium which was attended by over 4,500 noisy City supporters.
Brighton fielded a strong side and were ahead in the 14th minute through £14m purchase Jurgen Locadia with Conor Goldson heading home in the 33rd minute.
Leonardo Ulloa scored a third before Jordan Clarke-Harris opened his Sky Blues account in the 76th minute and gave the City support something to cheer.
Speaking to the media, Robins said:“I thought we did really well.
“I thought it took us a little while to come to terms with the way they play, the movement of the ball and their rotation but I thought we grew in confidence and stature.
“It took us a little bit of time. Having said that we hit the bar and their goalkeeper made a save from a free-kick with the first shot of the game, and then just disappointing that we didn’t adjust our positions at times.
“But it was Premier League quality and balls into the box at pace and you have got to be able to adjust quickly and we didn’t, and that’s the level.
“But I thought we looked dangerous and a threat, especially in the second half when we got ourselves a goal and, for us, it was about trying to give a good account of ourselves and trying to win the game, but their quality was too much in the end.”
