Kevin Nolan fumed at the match officials during his side's 4-1 home defeat to Coventry City.
Nolan told Sky Sports: "It was not down to my players or me, it was the people in the middle of the park you hope you can trust and get decisions right.
"Awful, awful decisions which cost us tonight. Forte is onside by a mile. He got that totally wrong and the lad is facing the linesman and he has that completely wrong. So between both of them, it has cost us dearly.
"That's why we should have the best doing this now. Premier League has finished, Championship has finished, so we should have the better referees refereeing the games because they don't get them wrong or they would not get many wrong in the 180 minutes. They gave a penalty in the last minute which wasn't a penalty and them two decisions tonight which were in their favour and we have to do something different. We then have to force the game and they have got away with it. I feel that have got away with it.".
