Coventry City manager Mark Robins said it was a relief as the Sky Blues left it late yet again to record their first double of the season with a 2-1 home win over Charlton Athletic.
Jordy Hiwula headed City ahead in the first half with the visitors equalising through Darren Pratley before Tom Bayliss scored from inside the area in the 89th minute.
Speaking about the victory, Mark Robins told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: “My confidence has always been in them but it’s always difficult because you can’t continue to lose games.
“But it’s a relief, that’s for sure, because we all get a boost from it.
“What matters now is that in the second group of 23 games that we keep that level up.
“I think the fact that we didn’t stand off them, got after them and made them think was good to see.
“We were full of energy and there was some decent movement. The passing was very good at times and we tried.
“We made some mistakes but we scored two really good goals and well deserved goals.
“The only thing that took the shine off the performance was the injury to Luke Thomas later on."
