Coventry City manager Mark Robins has said that he is pleased to have midfielder Conor Thomas available to play.

Thomas has missed much of the season thanks to a parting gift from Gary Deegan in training but came on against Tottenham on Saturday and was involved in the goal City had disallowed.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Alan Poole, the City boss said: “Conor has taken part in a couple of arranged games, and I’m looking forward to having him available because he made a difference when he went on, as did Robert Fleck and Adam Barton. They’ve all got good quality on the ball and we were able to keep possession a little bit more.

“It’s a shame we didn’t get something to hang our hearts on because it was a great move – Conor made a run off the back of a defender and showed great awareness to flick the ball inside to Gary.”
