Coventry City manager Mark Robins has said that he is pleased with the quality of players in the City U23's squad who are pushing for first team places.
City have brought in the likes of Morgan Williams, Reice Allassani, Dexter Walters, Declan Drysdale, David Bremang and Sam McCallum who played for City's first team against AFC Wimbledon last Saturday and this season's new buys have been playing well of late alongside players such as Jak Hickman, who was superb in the U23's win over QPR last week.

“There is a pathway for our young players to come through and there are some closer to the first team now than they were before,” said Robins to the Coventry Telegraph.
“We are getting them ready at a better pace rather than just having to throw them in when they are not quite there,” he said.
“We are looking at that development continuing and we are happy with the way things have gone in terms of recruitment and pleased with the quality of players in the Under 23s.
“Declan Drysdale is another one that becomes closer to the first team and we will try and get him into the next stage because he is capable of doing that. We just need to get those games into him so he can be closer to it.”
