Coventry City maanger Mark Robins was full of praise for Marc McNulty and Max Biamou who both excelled in the 3-1 home win over Cambridge United.
Robins told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire about City's seventh consecutive home win: "This result is really good and that record is brilliant.
"The first half was okay and the second half was scrappy. The pitch was in a really poor condition and we struggled with it at times.
"Cambridge had a really good go in the second half and we had some really nervy moments until we got the third.
"McNulty was outstanding and so was Max Biamou. The pair were brilliant all night.
"We struggled to get going because the tempo was not right but once we got on top of that we got the goals.
"McNulty's finish was outstanding. The second goal was a good move from Sparky and it gave us a little bit of breathing space.
"The amount of effort that we put in on Saturday has taken it toll on us. Give us a few days recovery now before we face Forest Green. If we can get a result at the weekend then that sets us up really nicely.
"They have worked hard for these three points and that is a good trait to have. You are not going to get free flowing football all the time and Cambridge are a side who have had ten days off. They were a fresher team and I don't think that was too evident because we were okay."
