Mark Robins said it was the perfect performance as Coventry City returned to winning ways with a 3-0 victory at League Two leaders Luton Town.
Goals from Mark McNulty, Jordan Shipley and Duckens Nazon delighted the travelling support and speaking about the victory to the Press Association, Mark Robins said: "For me that was brilliant as it was the perfect away performance - a clean sheet against one of the free-scoring teams in the division.
"Not only that, we kept them to a minimum of chances, and took ours pretty well.
"We were talking in the week about the fact that we hadn't scored many goals, and the fact that it could become an issue.
"But it won't be because we've looked at it to understand what's happening, and the players understand what's been happening.
"Then, all of a sudden, we end up getting five or six bodies in the box at times, and away from home.
"In fairness, Luton were limited to not that many opportunities but they were dangerous.
"We had talked about the way we needed to cope with them and we did it perfectly well."
Luton continue to lead the table whilst City are up to eighth, according to the BBC but actually, City are up to sixth and Luton are down to third with their boss Nathan Jones telling the Press Association: "The game was a little bit flat in terms of our sharpness and how we went about it, then they came here and they defended stoutly.
"They sat back, slowed the game right down, especially when they got the goal, and it was a frustrating afternoon to be honest with you.
"I can say that we weren't at it, but too many teams do that to us. I can say that we didn't play well, we weren't at it today, but credit to Coventry, they came, defended stoutly and we couldn't really get the goal we needed.
"It's a soft first goal to give away, but after that we had chances, especially in the second half.
"We had a lot of good chances that in recent weeks we've been putting away.
"It wasn't to be and then they hit us on the counter attack as we were trying to push, but that's what happens."
