Coventry City manager Mark Robins is to finally land Conor Chaplin.
Robins has been chasing the Portsmouth striker for the last few months and now with things falling into place with Kenny Jackett getting Andre Green, it appears that the deal will be completed before the loan window shuts on Friday.
The 21 year old is expected to join the Sky Blues on loan until January when the deal will be made permanent with Portsmouth then getting payment for a player who is out of contract with them in June 2019.
Born in Worthing, Chaplin has been at Portsmouth since the age of six and is a former League Two Apprentice Of The Year.
The striker made his Football League debut in 2014 and has scored 22 goals in 104 games.
