Coventry City Manager Mark Robins said it was tough to take as his side went down to a 2-1 defeat at Plymouth Argyle.
Conor Chaplin gave City the lead with a stunning free kick before former City midfielder Ruben Lameiras scored twice.
Mark Robins told City”s press office: "It's tough to take - I have just said in the dressing room that we are a team that are nearly really good and I keep saying the same thing.
"We have to find it within ourselves because we created loads of chances. We need to keep doing the things that got us all of the chances in the game.
"Don't stop doing the things that were getting you the success in terms of possession and quality of the chances that we had.
"It is just really frustrating becauseI should be coming here saying that that was fantastic and it was a brilliant performance.
"It's sickening."
