Coventry City manager Mark Robins told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire tonight after the 2-1 home defeat to Luton Town that something needs to be done in the January transfer window.
City have a number of long term injuries and have not won since beating Doncaster Rovers back in October and Robins said:
“January is coming and we have got to see what we can do there because we certainly need to do something.
“There’s a lot we need to do over a period of time to compete consistently at the top of the division.
“But, again, it’s just time and as a manager you need time.
"I find myself wishing my life away at the minute because I have got a good set of players who are learning. But we need some bit and pieces to help knit everything together," said Robins who is not certain if he will have the finance to bring in new players and hopes he will have the time to do the job of building up City which he wishes to do.
This means players could be shipped out in order to bring in new players, which may be improved if the Sky Blues can sort out some sort of deal to keep playing at the Ricoh Arena and Robins said: “There is a lot of plate spinning and there are things that need doing, clearly.
“What happens with us at the minute is that if there’s one injury the dynamic changes totally.”
