Coventry North West MP and major shareholder Geoffrey Robinson has announced that he is the acting Chairman of Coventry City.
Mr Robinson confirmed to BBC Coventry & Warwickshire this morning that he would be in charge of the club whilst Mike McGinnity was away from the club recovering from stress. Robinson added that Mr McGinnity may have a lesser role when he returned to the Board.

The MP admitted that he was disappointed with the result at Crystal Palace but was happy with the way Micky Adams was running the team, saying "Money is tight at the club, but we are looking for new investors all the time. However, they need to invest a substantial amount to make a difference."
On the team, Mr Robinson said:" We are looking at three years to get back into the Premiership, give us time but we have to do it on the basis of results. "We will consolidate around the key players we have. The Board have taken responsibility for their previous mistakes and are learning by them. "Lets settle down, back Micky Adams and go for it."
