Geoffrey Robinson has insisted that he will continue as an MP. The MP for Coventry North West had been rumoured to be stepping down to concentrate on running Coventry City.
However, he scotched the rumours saying to the CET: "I'm still acting chairman, but any talk that I'm giving up Parliament is absolute rubbish, it's just rubbish. "I've no plans at all to retire - I'm too young and I'm enjoying it too much."
Meanwhile, the club's AGM was a washout with no accounts and business was concluded by 7.10pm. An EGM where questions can be asked and the accounts should be ready will be held in January.
