Former Coventry City player Ronnie Farmer has expressed his sadness at seeing the Sky Blues relegated to League One.
"It's very sad to see the club drop back into the third tier again," Farmer told the Coventry Observer's Steve Carpenter.
"I thought it would go down to the final game of the season, but it wasn't to be. It's not quite sunk in yet.
"What makes it worse is that this season they have been wearing the special shirt to celebrate our success in the 1960s when we won promotion, that's very sad.
"I feel sorry for the players because it's going to be very hard for them to adapt next season.
"The lower you go down the harder it becomes because it is a more physical league and the young players have to learn quickly.”
