Andy Rose has said that he wants to play as much football as possible.
Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph, Rose said: “I haven’t set too many targets just yet but on a personal note I just want to play as much football as possible and be as important a member of the team as possible; someone who is relied upon.
“That’s what I am really searching for at this point in my career..
“That’s the biggest motivating point for me, to be in the team on the first day.
“You are never quite sure what your role will be within the team and everyone wants, quite selfishly, the biggest role possible. You want to be in the starting group but someone who is relied upon and accountable; someone the manager really puts trust in.
“I feel like from the time I came in last January that I have made strides in that department and it’s something I have tried to carry on through pre-season.
“It’s a young group at the moment and I am not sure who else the manager will bring in but I am sure there will be new faces and a bit more experience but, at the moment, I’m one of the more experienced members of the team.
“So having a voice and making sure the younger lads feel very welcome and feel a part of it is something that was very important to me when I was a young player.”
