Keane is one of the bookies favourites to be the first Championsship manager sacked in 2011 but speaking about the Ipswich Town boss, Boothroyd told the CT: "I never try to read other people's minds because you just wind up giving yourself a headache and I couldn't tell you how Roy manages but I know he is competitive.
"I never played against him, obviously because he didn't play for Mansfield or Cowdenbeath but anybody who has watched him knows that he's a winner."
