Coventry City have sacked manager Russell Slade.
Brought in after Mark Venus, a director of the Otium Entertainment Group who run Coventry City stood down due to the hassle from supporters, Slade won only one game and drew four, scoring ten and conceding 24 during his time in charge.
His tactics and team selection bewildered many and City were so bad during the first half of the 2-1 defeat at Bury on Tuesday night that supporters were offering to call him a taxi amongst other things.
It was better at Shrewsbury yesterday, where Slade, whom many did not want leading the team out at Wembley, came over to speak to supporters after the 0-0 draw.
Slade did say in an interview that he did not have the tools for the job and the club needed to be re-built.
According to the Coventry Observer, the club are to make an announcement tomorrow at the latest as to who will replace him for the remaining games of the season.
