Southampton have made inquries about Coventry City defender Elliott Ward.
Not wanted by Chris Coleman, Ward is available and out of contract at the end of the season.
Speaking about the inquiry from the League One side, Chris Coleman told the Southampton Echo: "There have been a couple of tentative calls and I have had a chat with Elliott.
"Nothing's come of it yet, but he wants to play football. "Southampton are doing alright and Alan Pardew knows him from his West Ham days, so there's something there, but we haven't got very far down the line with it yet."
