SBT - Latest Judicial Review Unhelpful

Last updated : 23 April 2013 By Jan Mokrzycki

Yesterday’s announcement by Coventry City Football Club (Holdings) Ltd of its application to the High Court for judicial review to determine whether Coventry City Council acted unlawfully in its use of public funds to financially support ACL is yet another unhelpful distraction from the main issue – that of the survival of Coventry City Football Club.

As we speak, there is still no resolution to the issues of which company owns the Football League Share and the player contracts; we are still uncertain whether the Club will even play at the Ricoh next season; and there is still no news about season tickets. As usual, it’s supporters who suffer.

Whilst it may need a lot of pride swallowing on the part of certain people, the Sky Blue Trust calls upon all parties to get together, sort out their differences and find a long term solution for the good of Coventry City and its long suffering supporters.
