Shearer, now at Wycombe Wanderers, was helping to hand deliver season tickets to some of the club's 2,000 season ticket holders. As part of a community initiaitive to show that supporters are not just faceless numbers, everyone from the Chairman down has been knocking on the doors of supporters to present them with their season tickets.

Robbie Keane is expected to join Liverpool tomorrow. The fee for the Spurs striker is expected to be around £18m and means that he will have commanded close to £60m in transfer fees.

Jay Bothroyd's chances of linking up with Gary McAllister at Leeds, look slim after Argentinian striker Luciano Becchio impressed on a trial at Elland Road and scored for the League One club in a friendly at Barnet at the weekend. Bothroyd is expected to now try and get a place in the Wolves team.
