Coventry City are reporting sales of season tickets have, so far exceeded last years sales by over 1000 and has already passed the total sold last season. standing currently at 9,098. The club now hopes the total of season tickets will break the total of 9,479 season tickets sold in the first season at the Ricoh iin the 2006/7 season.
Club chairman Ray Ranson said, "the figure was testament to the faith of the supporters". He went on to say, "Last season was one of the toughest for Sky Blue supporters with what occurred both on and off the field, so we are delighted with this news and with the loyalty that so many supporters have shown".
"To have topped 9,000 sales at this stage is terrific and is great news coming in the wek tat players have returned to training. It also shows that people understand and believe in what we are trying to do at the club. We all had to weather a storm last season and no-one want to go through that again".
Ranson then spoke of the transfer situation, saying, "This is when transfer action begins to liven up as teams return to pre-season training and we have been working hard to add to our squad".
He went on to say,"Several things are bubbling away and we hope to bring them to fruition over the coming weeks. We have made three additions to the squad and they are now working away with the reat of the players in Austria and Chris has been pleased with their progress to date".
