Satellite television company Setanta Sport are rumoured to be close to signing a three year deal to screen live Coca-Cola Cup Championship games.
The company which operates a subscription service, currently screens live Rangers and Celtic matches, plus sponsors a cup competition between Northern and Southern Irish sides and are looking to break Sky's monopoly of both Premiership and Football League matches.
City were shown live on Sky three times this season, beating Sunderland 2-0 at Highfield Road but losing at home to Ipswich Town and away at Leicester City.
