City will be without Tim Sherwood for the trip to Wolves on Saturday. The former Spurs player has suffered further reaction to the leg he broke last season and told the CET: "My ankle is still pretty much the same really. I have weaned myself off the tablets so I am not taking any pain killers anymore but it is still pretty sore. "I have gone back to basics with it by doing some strength work and hopefully it will improve in time, but at the moment it is not looking great for the immediate future.
"I never really took two weeks off it completely and was always in rehab but just not running around, rather exercising on the bike and stuff. I tried to step it up a little bit last week but it blew up a little bit and gave me a bit of pain, so the important thing is to get the leg right. "It might be different if I just had this season left but I have got another year after this year so I need to make sure this is right because it is last chance saloon for me really.
"It could effect the rest of my career, without a doubt. I am 35 and have had a leg break and I am not getting any younger, so I need to make sure it is right. "I still feel that I can play so I am certainly not considering retiring, but I have just got to give it time. I can't put a date on when I will be back because I have to take one day at a time."
