Coventry City fan Richard Keys has said that the club's current owners should speak to Gary Hoffman about his long term plans for the club.
Speaking to the CT, Keys now a radio presenter said: “I know how serious these people are because I put them in touch with Gary. “They are 110 per cent serious investors who I know personally and I think it is an opportunity, at the very least, that the club should serious explore because my fears are that we are back in a situation where the money has run out.
“I don’t want any harm to come to the club but that’s going to happen if they don’t listen because we are racing towards administration and I don’t, for the life of me, understand what the stumbling block is if there is someone waiting with serious investment to bring the stadium and the club together, which is absolutely paramount because the club cannot survive until it owns the stadium and derives income from the stadium.
“Under no circumstances can it go forward until that happens, and I think Gary is the man to negotiate that.
“As part of his take-over I believe the council will agree to give him a majority shareholding in the stadium, and that is a crucial development.
“It would appear the council are not in a position to want to do business with Sisu but they are more than happy to have a conversation with Gary, so once again, I don’t understand why Sisu haven’t quite got the message.”
