Coventry City are expected to be without young defender Cyrus Christie for the next six months.
The Covsupport News Service Young Player Of The Year injured his knee in the 1-1 away draw at Burnley back in April and has had an operation to repair ligament damage but now needs six months of rehabilitation.
Speaking to the CT's Andy Turner, City boss Andy Thorn said: "I don't think Cyrus will be back until Christmas.
"He did his anterior knee ligaments at Burnley and has had an operation to repair it.
"The injury has been a big blow for the kid, especially after the way he came back flying last summer.
"He worked really hard in pre-season and earned his place in the first team. But that is what football throws at you some times - it's full of ups and downs.
"But he has got a great mentality and he'll come back from this stronger like Jordan Clarke did when he came back from his injury mid-season."
