Steve Staunton whose late goal against Brighton on Saturday handed City a lifelline feels that Coventry City have six cup finals left.
The 36 year old former Irish international defender told the CET: "It was a huge goal for me but more so for the club. "We knew before the game that we had seven cup finals and thankfully we came away with three points.
"That is one cup final down and we have got to keep going now. "It is another massive game on Wednesday night and if we can win both of our home games it gives us a great chance. We have done the first part but there are still six games to go with maybe half a dozen or even seven teams still involved in the battle.
"The confidence has always been there despite results not always going our way. "We are in the mire but we have to keep going. Just because we are out of the bottom three doesn't mean we can stop."
