Sky Blue Trust Will Not Give Up On Academy

The Sky Blue Trust have vowed to continue to support Coventry City's Academy.

According to tweets from the Trust's AGM, Steve Brown said: "CSF, CST, Wasps all want our academy. Might be in a slightly different format.

"Mr Anderson's view was the world is against their club. Dave Moorcroft from CST is adamant that Coventry is a City of Sport not Rugby.

"Cat 2 Academy doesn't have to be on the same site athough that is preferred. Same goes for the pitches, classrooms, indoor facility, etc. This is after a conversation from the Football League.

"Meeting with all parties happened 2 weeks ago. Everyone was there. CCFC board member called a few mins before saying he couldn't attend.

"There was no contract between CCFC and the AHC for the academy. Just an agreement that meant CCFC block booked in 3 month intervals.

"We will not give up on the academy."

Roger Ellis is quoted as saying: "Proposal is bring together what we need for Cat 2 academy & send it to every party. Then proceed after the responses have been received." Whilst a JM said: "Football League have told the Trust that there is a certain amount of discretion given with regard to things needed for CAT 2 academy."
