Middlesborough's chairman Steve Gibson has revealed that he realised that Gareth Southgate time as manager had to end when 'City fought back from being two goals down to draw the game 2-2 at The Ricoh Arena
Mr Gibson decided to act after seeing his side lose a two goal lead against the Sky Blues. Gibson told The News of the World, "We lost at home to Leicester, we were 2-0 up at Coventry. I didn't understand the substitutions and we ended up drawing 2-2. I just thought you have got to change this."
Southgate's replacement as 'Boro manager is former Coventry City player and manager, Gordon Strachan.
