WHO ARE THEY?
Founded by school teachers in 1897, they were straight into the Midland League and joined the Southern League in 1901.The club's heydays were in the 1960's when between 1960/61 and 1965/66,they played in all four divisions of the Football League.

Hovering between what is now League's One and Two for the last ten years, The Cobblers were saved by their supporters and their Trust became the first to run a professional football club. In 1994, Northampton moved from the cricket ground to Sixfields.

Northampton are currently managed by Stuart Gray.

LAST MATCH
City have played once at Northampton's new home before. That was on April 25 1995 and left with a 3-0 win and a broken leg for Steve Ogrizovic. The last was competive game was an FA Cup tie in 1990 which saw City beaten 1-0 at a rain sodden County Ground. For a league game, you have to go back to March 28 1967 when City won 2-0 at Highfield Road.

HOW TO GET THERE
Away fans are located in the South Stand at one end of the pitch, where 850 supporters can be accommodated. If demand requires it, an additional 300 seats can be made available in the Alwyn Hargrave Stand.

By Car; From The South:Leave the M1 at Junction 15A and take the A43 towards Northampton and you will come to the ground on your right.
From The North:Leave the M1 at Junction 16 and take the A45 towards Northampton and you will come to the ground on your right.

By Train, Northampton train station is over two miles from the ground, so it is probably best getting a taxi. There is an hourly service from Coventry. Engineering works mean that there is a bus service from Coventry to Rugby.

The 12.50 from Coventry will get you there for kick off.
10.50 or 11.50 if you fancy a few beers round their town centre. The train back to Cov is at 18.12. The fare is £7.50 return. There is a regular service to and from London.
