Micky Adams fielded two different sides in the game and in the 57th minute, Gary McSheffrey put City ahead. In the dying seconds, Kevin Thornton and Andy Morrell netted to give the Sky Blues their first pre-season win in their last four games.
Micky Adams said afterwards: "I think our play and our attacking in the first half was a little bit sloppy. "In the second half we picked up the play of the game a little bit better. All the credit to Brigham (Young). I've never seen a more spirited and enthusiastic side than these young boys. They're a real credit to the university and to themselves."
