Coventry City manager Russell Slade was not happy about the penalty that was given against the Sky Blues in the 2-2 draw against Bolton.
“I feel absolutely sick – I’ve got a headache after that, " Slade told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire. Two games running we’ve been in the driving seat late on...“We do fatigue – there’s no doubt about that – but they put in a big shift today.“It’s a really fine line at the moment and let’s have a look at the key decisions.
“Do I think it was a penalty? No I don’t – yes there’s contact but I don’t think he was getting near the ball and he’s not pushing him over.
“And, by the way, it’s the tightest decision ever for the offside. That’s what we’re having to deal with at the moment but in terms of attitude, desire, purpose, all those things we’ve talked about without the ball, they were much, much better.
“It’s about management of games, making the right decisions, and you can’t do that on a part-time basis. You need all those good habits to get over the line. We’re still third from bottom so we’ve still got a lot of work to do if we want to get out of the position we’re in.
“Bolton are at the top of the league because they do the basics well. There’s nothing delightful on the eye but what they do they do efficiently and well, they make it very difficult for the opposition, and that’s why they’ll probably get out of this league.”
