Coventry City manager Russell Slade has said that there are still plenty of points to play for after the Sky Blues hit the bottom of the League One table after a 1-0 defeat at Chesterfield.
Slade told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: “The numbers don’t lie - there are no excuses over a season – but there are still plenty of points to play for and we have a wonderful chance to do something about it,” said the City boss.
“We’ve got to be big enough, bold enough, to be mentally tough and make the right decisions at the right time,.
“I don’t think we got to the level that we had in the last two games and I’ve told the players that they have got to be the very best version of themselves every week if we want to get out of the position we’re in.
“There’s still plenty of football to be played, lots of games, and whether we think we’re at our best level or not we have to lift it again, find more.
