Coventry City manager Russell Slade has said that the protests are not helpful.
Slade told Talk Sport2: “It’s not easy. Obviously you can’t control it and that’s the frustrating thing and something you have to deal with. All you can do is concentrate and do your job to the best of your ability.
“Are those protests helpful? I have said before they’re not helpful, particularly when they’re in the stadium. If they are outside the stadium then it’s not going to affect you at all and you won’t use it as an excuse.
"But as it goes on and on, one after another it can kind of have that wearing down effect on players, a ‘here we go again,’ syndrome, which is what you don’t want because you want full focus and concentration for 90 minutes because that’s vital with fine lines in games, as we know only too well in recent weeks.”
