Coventry City midfielder Steve Jennings has praised the City support who have travelled away in good numbers this season.
Speaking at the club's weekly press conference, Jennings said: “The supporters have been there through thick and thin this season. Some of the away support has been fantastic as I remember at the Crewe match, there seemed to be more away fans than home fans. “It certainly gives us a boost as we don’t want to let them down. If they get there in their numbers then it is definitely better for us."
City are expected to be backed by around 600 supporters at Hartlepool United on Saturday after selling around 400 tickets so far and speaking about the trip to Victoria Park for the Sky Blue support, Jennings said: “I suppose a trip to Hartlepool is seen as a proper badge of honour for the supporters and I hope we can deliver what we want to do for them.”
